To celebrate 11 years of
laughter,
encouragement,
giggles,
wit,
and thoughtfulness,
we had a party.
The DDs 1 & 2 are both excellent event planners, and together they cooked up a
Game Night
theme.
The centerpiece was a Upwards game board.
Munchies included a turkey-and-ham checkerboard,
a dice cheese ball (wish we’d had a Parcheesi board to serve it!),
veggie dart board designed and constructed by DD#1, aka Amazing Sister,
Chessman cookies,
and, last but not least, homemade cake roll! (My camera rebels in low light. Grrr!)
The evening’s entertainment: GAMES, and lots of them, like Imagineiff, Cheese Dealer (a card game), and Twister!
If you are struggling with a fun “teen” party idea, we wholeheartedly recommend this one! Lots of laughter and no hormonal squabbles were reported.
We love you, DD#2!
Have the Happiest of Happy Birthdays!
Love,
Mama, Daddy, and DD#1
Be blessed today,
Ginger
Looks like loads of fun!!
ReplyDeleteHey Ginger, do you still have my leader kit for Stepping Up? I may have a group interested in using it.

Such a fun party and amazing food ideas!!! I'm logging this away!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! That looks like loads of fun. We love games in our family so this would definitely work for us. Happy Day to DD#2!
ReplyDeleteI have a very old Parcheesi board ... I used to love to play it! Oh, for a minute I thought Jenni R (winner) was me! ha. I don't think I even commented that day - but you know - the name got me! mmmmm peaches. We're hoping ours come off the tree edible (no bird bites or worms and ripe enough!) Remember you gave me an award in March? I never did a response, I just couldn't come up w/one I would be comfortable with. Thank you, again, cuz it warmed my heart when I had been so sick. Hugs, J
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! Remember those special parties? You are making GREAT memories.
ReplyDeleteHow very creative Ginger! Happy birthday to DD#2!
ReplyDeleteWe just had a teen party here this last week. They all played ultimate frisbee. It was fun to watch them smile while they were running! These are wonderful days.
Blessings to you all.
