Speaking

If you were a child of the 80's, you grew up hearing the theme from "Chariots of Fire".
I remember, even as a young teen, finding it a haunting melody.  What I didn't actually do was see the movie--until many years later.
Now a line from it haunts me as well.
In the film, Eric Liddell, the Olympian who chose to honor God rather than men, explains his passion for racing this way:
"I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure."
I love that quote because I've come to understand it.
When I teach His Word, I feel His pleasure.
I can look back and see years of preparation, but it took a series of crises for me to finally say to the Lord,
"Please just don't waste this."
 He didn't.
This page is here because just in the last few weeks, He's reminded me again that knowing His delight really is worth all the preparation and testing.

I'm so thankful He gave me a passion for His Word and women's ministry, and if it gives Him pleasure, I love to share with other sisters in Christ. If your MOPS group wants a course in "Imperfect Parenting 101" or your women's ministry just wants to join me for a feast in the Bread of Life, email me at dwellinginthehouse{at}gmail{dot}com.
Be blessed,
Ginger
