A post of small thoughts. . .
{1} We are on a two-hour delay here but finally back in school! I think shall have to introduce myself again to my kids.
{2} Although I did some schoolwork while I was home, I probably didn’t do enough.
{3} Instead, I ORGANIZED. Yes, that’s right. No drawer, bookcase, or basket was safe.
{4} Now the goal is to keep them that way. Hmmmm…..
{5} In the interest of full disclosure, I may have skipped a few drawers while I read Jan Karon’s new one, In the Company of Others. (fabulous), and some other books. It was fun.
{6} In anticipation of some things we see looming on the horizon, Big Red and I have made the big move to the Dave Ramsey cash-only budget. LOVE it so far. (Accountability, here we come.) Anybody else out there? Any tips?
Happy Tuesday!
Be blessed,
Ginger
Ginger, we were surprised to have a 2 hour delay here too. I was all ready to walk out the door to teach pre-k today and noticed the message on my phone. Sure wish I had known last night.

Ginger,
ReplyDeleteI just bought Dave Ramsey's envelopes last week (off ebay). Our church is offering Financial Peace, but Big A doesn't want to do it. I figure I can at least work on budgeting a little better by myself.
Hope it warms up down there!
Our church just started Financial Peace. Not far enough along to offer any advice, though :) Seems a lot like a Larry Burkett class I took previously.
ReplyDeleteDid you know you won something on my blog? http://cottageandvine.blogspot.com/2011/01/novica-winners-are.html
ReplyDeleteHappy day!
We started the Dave Ramsey thing a year ago and have managed to pay down a fair amount of debt....gotta love that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me yesterday! I love finding fellow Pilcher readers. I adore her books so much that I almost wish I'd never read them so I could discover them and read them the first time all over again!
Blessings,
Alison
Forgot to mention that my Fridays Unfolded link up is going on today and tomorrow. Hope you'll join!
ReplyDeleteWe love the Dave Ramsey system. It relieved so much tension between my husband and I. It's not always easy, but it works for us.
ReplyDeletethanks for the comment, Ginger!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I have been cash envelope-ers thanks to Dave Ramsey for about 5 or so years now. We won't go back to plastic spending.
My most helpful tip for you is to get a envelope wallet (like on the FPU website's e-store)and use that for your cash. I would be lost without mine.
