Tasty Tuesday: Watermelon Cookies

Hi, all.

Hope your 4th was grand!  We spent some time with family and had a blast; pictures to come!

My kids are accomplished cooks, and they have kept us supplied with yummy sweets and savories this summer.  Last week, they made these adorable and delicious watermelon cookies.

These are somewhat labor-intensive, and if your mother isn’t home when you make them, you might get a little stressed.

With a bit of encouragement, you’ll have a fun, summery twist on the basic sugar cookie.

Prepare these, and you will stun and amaze your friends!

Way to go, DD#1 and DD#2!!

Y’all Rock!

Here’s the recipe; it’s from Taste of Home and is probably available in clearer form on their website.

Be blessed!

  4. Ginger - the cookies look yummy. I hate watermelon, so I was glad to see they're not actually made of watermelon :). And your stressed out picture reminds me of myself... everyday this summer :).

If you want info about WAR, go to their website. Throwing a party is really easy... no cost to you and no trying to sell anything. You estimate the number of guests and they send you a box with enough jewelry to sell. Then you mail back the unsold jewelry and the profits. They not only sell the costume-y type jewelry... they also sell some real pearl necklaces and other gemstones, which are a little pricier, but definitely cheaper than the jewelry store. If you have a party, let me know!

We found out that in Toledo, OH (2 hours away), there is one of the largest female trafficking rings in the world. TERRIBLE. It seems there are always teenage girls being abducted in this area and I just can't help but wonder if that is what's happening to them... in our own country :(.
