The Real Spring Break

SPRING has really, truly arrived here at our house! Hallelujah!
See this? That's green, people, just in case you don't remember that color on trees.

My kids head back to school today and race toward standardized testing at break-neck speed.

I'm done with my second long-term sub assignment and will race toward my basement to work on this, shown in all its primed glory:
This (not yet) lovely will have a home in our master bedroom. I'm copying my sister's brilliant idea to use a small dresser as her bedside table. It will hold sheets, cough drops, and about two dozen books.

Weeks later than the rest of blogland, I springified my mantel this weekend...
..and my coffee table:

I need to do some house-keeping and much needed updating on this blog, but it will take me a while; ya'll know I'm techno-phobic.

It's time for some spring cleaning in my house and my heart; know what I mean?

I want some soul-cleaning, wiping away some dusty attitudes, refreshing a stale prayer life, getting some cobwebs off my perspective.
How about you?
Be blessed!
Ginger

  2. You are a good soul Ginger. I know first hand that substitute teaching comes with many challenges. Enjoy your time and hints of green in the garden.

  3. God seems to be doing his best work on me now because I'm able to get outside and away from the phone, internet, housework, etc... and just BE with Him, be with the kids, be alone.

The green is so pretty!! And all the beautiful buds. I was made to live somewhere that has spring all year round :).

  4. Loving the daisies! I just replaced my roses with Gerbera daisies in the brightest pink shade!

I could really use some new spring ideas for my yard. I think I want a few pink and white dogwoods.

    Green is a glorious sight!

  7. hullo! Happy Spring! Coming by to catch up! Enjoyed the current posts! Thanks for visiting and leaving notes on my blog. Some days, I wonder if blogging is "worth it", you know? And then, I think I'd lose this community of people and then what would I do? So, it's always good to know friends are stopping by, isn't it? Enjoyed catching up! See ya next time! Jenn PS - love the dresser-for-a-night-stand idea. I got rid of two large night stands ... oh how I miss the room they had. Too big for the room, I have. Ha. Jenn
