**After my last post, I decided to share this picture of Big Red and me, just so you know that none of the marriage words in my hate list apply to us. He is a rock for us and a true prayer warrior. One day I'm going to post a picture of myself on a good hair day, but today is not that day.
In honor of all of you, I am hosting my first ever giveaway! After all, what's not to love about presents at Christmas? Leave a comment today about one of your favorite Christmas traditions, and you could win a copy of the new Casting Crowns Christmas CD, Peace on Earth.
Since, like, three people read this blog, think how great your odds are of winning! ;-)
Christ is born! Be blessed today,
Ginger
I'll play! BTW, your prizes were shipped out yesterday... FINALLY. Thanks for being so patient, Ginger.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Christmas tradition...hmm, can it be a New Year's tradition? We host a Beans 'N Greens lunch on New Years Day. I feed about 50 people the most yummy collard greens, black eyed peas, soup beans, cornbread and all the trimmings. Lots of fun with friends and family.

I don't see a bad hair day! Love the photo. For traditions, I enjoy the tree with white lights, icicles, lighthouses and the snowman and tins and stuff under. Funny, I'm in here and it's in there. Hmmm. I think I'll go in there. :Jenn
ReplyDeleteI found your blog thru Tina's. It's really nice to find more Christian women blogging. I love the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the photo. It's a nice follow up to your earlier blog.
ReplyDeleteChristmas tradition...Every year my daughter and I each write a paper about the ending year. We write about events that happened, changes that occurred, news, etc. On New Years Day we read them to each other then when we pack away the Christmas decorations for the year, we tuck those papers into an envelope with past year's papers and put them in with the decorations. Then the following Christmas, we get the decorations out and find the papers. We sit down and read all the papers from the previous years. Boy does it bring back memories. We've got about 10 years worth.
What a darlin' picture! And thank you kindly for the Casting Crowns CD giveaway. We saw them last month in concert - it was incredible - I am still processing the song that they did from a Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem - b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.
ReplyDeleteOh my - a favorite Christmas tradition....I have so many....I guess my favorite would be family -decorating the tree as a family with Christmas music playing in the background, being with extended family and watching the little ones tear open their gifts and squeal with delight when they get something they really wanted, visiting with sister-in-laws that I don't get to see as often as I'd like because of the distance.
Blessings to you!
My most favorite Christmas tradition is opening pajamas on Christmas night and reading Luke 2 from the Bible while we're all snuggled up. I've done this since I was a kid and now we do it with my kids.
ReplyDeleteI love that your husband is Big Red!!!! My husband is Big A on my blog. You guys look so cute!
I love going to our Christmas Eve service and then coming back home with our children and watching the Nativity story! It's my favorite tradition ever. Well... that and getting kissed under the mistletoe. I really like that tradition too...
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
LMM
I was so excited about the drawing, I forgot to post a Christmas tradition! My favorite is family BINGO on Christmas Eve. Instead of purchasing traditional gifts, we set prize limit and each family purchases prizes for the game. The kids and adults LOVE it.
