I just bought the most generic version of...Ginger, <br />I just bought the most generic version of a Canon Rebel. It came with an additional lense. I love it. I'm still shooting on auto mode, but the pictures are so clear and so real.<br /><br />While I was shopping, I asked two of my photographer friends and they agreed that Canon or Nikon are the best bets. One highly dislikes Sony and Pentax. And they both said that the kit lens is pretty worthless... if you can afford a better lens, then get it (this is not my opinion as I haven't even opened my other lens).<br /><br />Good luck!
